The Bad News Bears failed to deliver any sort of bad news Tuesday evening in their first ever league game as they fell to a seasoned Curtis J. Phillips team 85 to 53. Other than when both teams went back and forth for the first five minutes, team CJP controlled the entire game with their superb passing, superior talent, and a blistering full court press. And if wasn't for the Bad News Bear guard that scored close to forty points, this game would have been over in the first minute.

Game Notes
CJP forward Lane Leedahl missed the game due to parental duties. Team CJP is now 6-1 all-time in season openers.
Last nights game lead to an auspicious outlook for the rest of the season for CJP. The Bad News Bears proved to be a resilient opponent although the shooting, penetration, and paint play were too much for the Bears to handle. With movement mocking last night's game and shooting to boot CJP will be a force to be reckoned with throughout the season.
