Game Notes

CJP center Mike Logan and CJP guard Mario Thomas each missed the game due to leisure and work related matters. CJP alternate Brandon Whightsil filled in and played in his third game of the season. Newly signed Jason Holzmueller played in his first game for CJP. CJP is now 9-2 all-time versus the Free Agents.

CJP signs Jason Holzmueller to a one game contract.

Late Monday night Curtis J. Phillips Basketball signed Jason Holzmueller to a one game contract. Holzmueller, 37, will be filling in for CJP center Mike Logan as he is currently out of the state.

Standing in at six foot, six inches tall and weighing in at a strong two-hundred and twenty pounds while possessing a deft post game Holzmueller will be looked upon for easy points in the paint and to anchor the teams defense as well in tonight's game versus the Free Agents. "I've played with and against Jason in numerous pickup games and my conclusion from those games is that if  he was a regular player in our league that he would easily be the best scoring big man. He has a lot of moves down low, can catch and shoot out to the three point, and plays steady defense as well" said CJP general manger and player Daniel Sondreal.

Holzmueller's free agent status and availability was brought to the team's attention by CJP alternate Brandon Whightsil. The two of them along with CJP center Mike Logan play on a Sunday night team together. Jason will be sporting an old CJP jersey and will have the number of 00.
